The total production of rough steel in the 66 reporting countries for the first 11 months of 2009 was 1,090 MMT, a decrease of -10.8% over the same period in 2008.
The world's rough steel occupancy rate in November 2009 was 75.0%, a slight decrease compared with 76.9% in October 2009. Compared to November 2008, occupancy rates rose by 10.4 percentage points in November 2009.
